Strength Training for Older Adults: Part I– The purpose of this continuing education program about strength training for older adults is to provide PTs with knowledge of clinically relevant changes that occur with aging as well as basic strength training concepts for older adults.
Recognize normal changes in aging that are relevant for strength training.
Understand the concept of specificity.
Design an appropriate strength training program for the average older adult without a pathology.
